Coliseum Ocean Resort, Wildwood Crest

We stayed at the Coliseum Ocean Resort in August. Two things that needed attention better bedding for one. People like tht comfort of home feeling I wasn't feeling that. And second, upkeep around the pool could have been better . Cleaner chairs, and better drainage for standing water around the pool. Dont get me wrong it was a very nice ,affordable place .. for being beachfront, but just a few little things tht maybe need more attention and it would be a excellent place 2 come back to year after year..

Booked a "type A" room, one month in advance without any problems. When I got there, the staff was polite, accomodating and knowledgable of the area. The room was even better than I expected for the price. The mid-September special rate was a complete bargain. While staying in room 303, I was able to enjoy a great view of the ocean and keep an eye on my car in the lot below. Lourdes, the hard-working maid was friendly and cleaned up the entire room every morning around 11 AM. While on the beach in front of the Coliseum, I talked to many of the other guests who all said they were having a nice stay here. Check out was quick and easy at 10 AM on my departure date.

My husband and I stayed at the Coliseum because we booked our trip last minute for a weekend getaway, and that was one of the only hotels where we were able to get a room for only 2 nights. Our room was literally falling to pieces. The fan in the bathroom was hanging from the ceiling with the wires hanging out, and the smoke detector was the same way. There was paint missing in many places and the tiles in the bathroom were chipped. The bathroom was so small there was barely any room to dry off! The air conditioner had a horrible odor when we turned it on. The comforter was FILTHY underneath and our pillows were dirty. It just gave us the creeps staying there, and I didn't feel clean the whole time. I'm glad I brought Lysol with me! We stayed at a few different hotels in Wildwood over the years, and this one was the worst.

I come back to Coliseum every year I love it very much! I have stayed in all styles of rooms over there, so it bothers me to read some people's complaints about small rooms. The Coliseum offers large and spacious suites for up to 6 people and small rooms for those who want to save money and still be in the oceanfront resort! You can pay more money and you will get a spacious room. For the smaller rooms, they offer prices that other hotels NOT on the beach have! It's no brainer! You can stay in the luxurious suites if you can afford it, the one room efficiencies are the great deal on the beach! The hotel is very clean, has great views and should not be criticised for offering a VARIETY of rooms to their customers!

The Coliseum resort is located on the beach in Wildwood Crest. The resort is very clean and the owner is very friendly. The resort has a restaurant and also has barbeques. My family has been staying there for eight years and we continue to return each year. All 50 of us will be there in June. Can't wait. I would recommend this resort.

The things we liked about the Coliseum Ocean Resort, In Wildwood Crest, Nj were the location, the pool, the service, the rooms, and all of the other anmenities. How could you beat being right on the beach? The pool was such a great place to hang out at the end of the day. The rooms were clean and large and the service was great. We can not wait to go back this summer!

This is a Great Beach location! The Pizza and Ice Cream was within walking distance and made for fast evening snacks. We really enjoyed the Pool.

The Coliseum Resort is located in quiet and peaceful Wildwood Crest. The Resort has a great view of the ocean and is located directly on the beach. The resort has many different rooms to choose from. There is a pizzeria on the premises that sells pizza, sandwiches, soda, water ice and ice cream. The resort is clean and the management is friendly. My family has been staying at the Coliseum since it opened it 2000. I would recommend this resort.
