It is so open and pretty
By Lisa, 02/04/10
This campground has gotten better over the years. It is a family ran camp so they are very friendly. They all work a full time job and try to do a family gampground when they can since they got it hand to them my their grandparents that no longer want to do. It does need some things but talking to them they are trying very hard to make it a family campground then a drunkin place for the over flow of jeepers. The lady the makes reservations is very nice and answered all my questions. She makes reservations from her home as well as working a job and talking her kids to school so when she is home she tries to call as many people back. They all try to do as much as they can with the money they have in the bad econamy. They try to keepp the bathrooms as clean as possible but the wind also brings it in and sometimes people dont knoe how to clean up after themselves. They is a new bathroom place down at the tent sites. And as for picnic table there isnt very many cause they cant supply 100plus sites with them and if we need one we told them and they got one for us. So thank you Kane Springs for working so hard to make this campground even better. Keep up the good work and we will be back very soon

Only if you have NO other options
By LauraW, 05/26/09
The pros: Cheaper than most other private campgrounds, though much more expensive than BLM or NPS. They always have availability, but there's a reason why. Cons: No sites, just a huge open space, so you basically just hunt for a good spot, which there aren't many of. Only about 15 tables in the whole place, despite what we were told on the phone, and all were taken when we arrived. Showers and bathrooms are gross, trash was overflowing on Saturday of a holiday weekend, they never picked it up while we were there. Quiet hours are not enforced, and we were kept awake until 2 am by loud, drunk teenagers who refused to be quiet even when reminded that quiet hours began at 10. It is right on the river and in a very pretty canyon, but that's about it. Unless you're okay with minimal facilities and obnoxious people who will not be told to shut up when it gets late, I'd skip this one. Definitely a bad one for families with kids, but I'd advise against it for anyone. Campground owners are very deceptive about the quality of the campground, so I'd avoid relying on their information.

Way overpriced! Definitely avoid!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/09
We have been going to this campsite for years and last year we occupied one site and felt very taken advantage of when the site was over $100/night. This was only for a camp site, not an RV hookup. We were very disappointed and will not go back. The sites are very exposed, so the sun exposure is very bad.

Beware
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
I camped at the Kane Springs Campground this weekend and found the facilities not as advertised. The showers were not working. There were no garbage cans or picnic tables, I heard from other campers that had hookups that the power hookups were not always working. Better check closely before you stay here.

avoid this one
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/06
Very dusty, porto-poties only and they were not clean or stocked with TP and there were only 2. RV hookups were bad (one of our group packed up and left for another site). Not near as nice as the photos on the website imply. Showers were out of order (but didn't really look nice anyway). Staff hasseled our group a lot for payment -- we ended up significantly overpaying to get them off our backs. Either "in town" camping or BLM would be way better depending on your tastes. We camp in the area several times a year, and this is definatly on the bottom of the campground list. Avoid this one.
