Riverside Campground, Abingdon

Don't waste your time here, find another campground. Bathrooms are bad, never cleaned. We were there for 4 days and they never touched them. ( use chains to hold toilet paper ), no towels to dry hands or soap to even wash your hands. Luke warm water only for showers. Grass in campground not mowed and getting very high. Camp sites have very little gravel in them so when it rains, it is mud. June 10th and they were just filling the pool. Golf carts run all the time.Campground need major overhaul, not worth the price. Unable to change the stars in the Service/cleaniness and value,,,, they are all bad

Good; 1)Very nice setting along the north fork of the Holston river with the sound of hounds baying in the distant and owls hooting at night. Both are welcome sounds in my opinion. 2)Nice tent sites on the riverbank w/elec & water. 3)Pet Friendly. Bad; 1)Dirty stinky bathrooms and showers!!! Really unaceptable even if it was late in the season. 2)The camp owners/operators driving noisily past the campsites multiple times at ALL hours of the night in a golf cart even though there weren't very many people camping then. Had it been crowded I could unserstand the need for patrolling it. Overall I recomend it **BUT** they need to improve in the areas indicated.

Very family orientated. Loads of activities for the family. Clean and friendly environment. Will defiantly be back to spend more lovely time at this great place.

the best parts: big pool, great playground, tubing down the river, catching baby turtles! The tents were pretty close together and there was no privacy, but we're definetly going back!

OVERALL IT WAS O.K. THE STAFF WASN'T VERY FRIENDLY, ESPECIALLY AT THE CAMP STORE.THE WORST PART WAS THE GOLF CARTS RUNNING NON STOP. THOSE KIDS WENT BY OUR CAMPSITE, AT LEAST TEN TIMES AN HOUR,EVERY HOUR. JUST STIRRING UP THE DUST.PROBABLY WON'T RETURN.
