Misrepresentation of service

Address was difficult to find and get to with a big rig..narrow bridge difficult to traverse..AAA will be notified. Requested full hookups, and was told by Beth that this would include electric, water, sewer, and go check the web page for more info. Upon checkin and setup on the site, no sewer. After calling the office, I was told "we haven't had a sewer site available for over a year". We had scheduled a two night stay, but plans changed (imagine that with an RV!) and when I entered the office to discuss our change in plans, the "woman" in the office tapped a sign saying "Notice - Positively No refunds on any purchase of camping or rentals". My husband returned to the office with the brochure requesting where the "no refund" policy was stated, and he was told "it just needs to be posted in the office". I suggested that I could take the refund with selected items from the store, but was rebuffed. This policy needs to be revealed when reservations are made, and restated openly in the brochure and web page. I requested a call to be made to the management, and was told "they" were not in. I asked for their names so I could write to them directly, and was told "send it here". In addition to this negative treatment, the office is atleast .5 miles from most of the RV spots, so it was difficult to walk with my 81 year old Mother to get to the office or bath house. I will NEVER stay in this place (will not even call it a campground) again. I did see the negative review about the "mean-spirited" folks who brought their supposed "Christian values" to dealing with campers. I did not put enough weight on that review, or I would never have scheduled this area (to be close to family!). I hope your readers investigate policies prior to making reservations at this location. It sure negatively impacted our trip.
