Not ppl friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/07
well me and my other half had gotten a tent site for the week and everything seemed all right until the next morning as soon as we awoken they came to use telling us we could not be posted there and told us we had to leave and a week there is not exactly cheap with NO REFUNDS then there are few that work there that are nice and others are plain rude and me and my other half were willing to over look alot of the things that were wrong with the campground and just try to make the most of it but it didnt seem like that would work, i dont believe this place deserves one star because it was not awful it was horrible

Misrepresentation of service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/06
Address was difficult to find and get to with a big rig..narrow bridge difficult to traverse..AAA will be notified. Requested full hookups, and was told by Beth that this would include electric, water, sewer, and go check the web page for more info. Upon checkin and setup on the site, no sewer. After calling the office, I was told "we haven't had a sewer site available for over a year". We had scheduled a two night stay, but plans changed (imagine that with an RV!) and when I entered the office to discuss our change in plans, the "woman" in the office tapped a sign saying "Notice - Positively No refunds on any purchase of camping or rentals". My husband returned to the office with the brochure requesting where the "no refund" policy was stated, and he was told "it just needs to be posted in the office". I suggested that I could take the refund with selected items from the store, but was rebuffed. This policy needs to be revealed when reservations are made, and restated openly in the brochure and web page. I requested a call to be made to the management, and was told "they" were not in. I asked for their names so I could write to them directly, and was told "send it here". In addition to this negative treatment, the office is atleast .5 miles from most of the RV spots, so it was difficult to walk with my 81 year old Mother to get to the office or bath house. I will NEVER stay in this place (will not even call it a campground) again. I did see the negative review about the "mean-spirited" folks who brought their supposed "Christian values" to dealing with campers. I did not put enough weight on that review, or I would never have scheduled this area (to be close to family!). I hope your readers investigate policies prior to making reservations at this location. It sure negatively impacted our trip.

EXTREMELY poor attitudes of the management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/13/06
I have stayed here previously, and these people try to base their "campground experience" on what they define as "Christian values", when they are in reality very mean-spiritied folk who watch everything campers do and come to campsites to ensure their "rules" are being followed. Alchohol is not allowed on the campground, and they are very inflexible in regards to length of stay. The bathrooms are FILTHY and often smell of putrid baby diapers. They claim to clean the bathrooms, but trash is emptied maybe every 3rd or 4th day. I am considering notifying the health department I am so disgusted at this point. Very unprofessional people.
