Would never stay there again

Overall, the service was lousy. Cleanliness was awful, the carpet had very large stains. Towels had holes in them, Sheets were not changed each day. The staff at the front desk were pleasant. All they did was assign a room number and say "have a nice day".
I woke up early the following morning with insect bites on each side of my upper extremity of my body, my arms and my feet.
This information was given to the night shift manager (Rebekah)on 4/08/07 @ 6:00AM and requested it be passed on to management.
If you are exposed to this magnitude of bites, you should consider seeing a doctor ASAP. So I Did!
Later, I learned, thank goodness, that bed bugs don't carry disease, but their bites left a colorless welt along with an itching and burning sensation.
Their medical significance is mainly limited to the itching and inflammation from their bites. Antihistamines and corticosteroids were prescribed to reduce allergic reactions, and antiseptic or antibiotic ointments to prevent infection.
"Infestations" also can cause anxiety, embarrassment, and loss of sleep.
What should you do if you are bitten by bed bugs?
Bed bugs bite exposed skin and leave behind small, red, itchy welts. The damage is more emotional than physical. The CDC does say that bites from bed bugs can be treated with topical emollients or corticosteroids. You can also take an oral antihistamine.
A bed bug bite looks like a small welt, and it burns and/or itches, according to the CDC. Red bumps that sting and/or itch like crazy, would be how bed bug bite victims describe it.
From my research, you can't feel a bed bug bite while it happens (they take about five minutes to feed), and the bugs are nocturnal. So, then, they can feed peacefully while you sleep. Isn't Mother Nature just such a smarty?
