Old Florida Charm - pets welcome
We traveled with 2 teenagers and 2 small dogs. We were not sure what to expect, as we read reviews from other travelers on other websites. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. We had read that the rooms were small, but we were in a sort of 2 room kitchenette. We had 3 queen beds (1 room had 2 beds) and a kitchenette with fridge and microwave and table & chairs.
The room was clean and well furnished. The building is old, so it is not the Hilton or the Sheraton, but if you are looking for a hotel on the water (sound side) that is reasonably priced and clean, this may work for you. Our main reason for staying here was because they allowed pets. The pet fee was reasonable, $25.00 per pet per stay, Not bad.
A couple little things that would have been nice would be place to hang things. There were no hooks or anything to hang clothes, etc. Also, no pictures or art of any type on the walls. Other than than, a person could be real nit picky and complain about little things, but again, it suited our needs.
Had wifi access, 2 TV's in our room, lots of clean towels, great shampoo & conditioners, and other "little things" to make you feel
welcome. The dogs were able to be walked all over the property, which was nice.
Overall, it suited out needs very well. If you want a fancy "honeymoon" type location, this may not be for you. But if you are traveling with kids and pets, this would work great. Just make sure you request a larger room/rooms so you have the space you need.
