Stay away
This place is Awful!! The rooms are dark and dirty (don't know how long ago these pics were taken but look nothing like our room) Our shoes stuck to the carpet and the furniture was really uncomfortable. We even found old food and candy under the furniture when we were making sure we had everything before checkout. The noise level is unbearable, especially in rooms near the front entrance and bar entrance from both inside and out. Walls are paper thin and you may then wish you were hearing the bar noise. Ok if you want a party hotel, but for the price of the suite (which I use the term loosely) , you would be better off to go get a really nice room at the Marriott....and still maybe have some money to spare!! Not the place to be if you want a relaxing weekend/stay. You will go home with a bad back and bags under your eyes from lack of sleep. Only redeeming things were that the wedding/reception/food were good. Should have stayed somewhere else and driven over for the festivities. It is said to be haunted but even the ghosts have moved on due to the noise!!! Only single party animals would probably be happy staying here. This place is historical but has not fared well. They need to decide what to be when they grow up. Trying miserably to be classy while trying to make money off the rowdy bar crowd. Shouldn't charge upscale rates (when it is definitely not) and then sell out to the party crowd at the expense of your guests.

DO NOT SPEND THE NIGHT AT THIS HOTEL…
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/9/11
DO NOT SPEND THE NIGHT AT THIS HOTEL… YOU WON’T SLEEP FOR THE NOISE: Paper thin walls and no “quiet time” in the halls or outside after 11 pm, as most hotels ensure, will give you a sleepless night. We listened to loud conversation in the halls until 5 am. YOU WON’T SLEEP FOR THE MISERABLE BEDS: We had a two-room parlor suite. The bed in the bedroom is fine, but if you need to sleep on the fold out couch…DON’T! You will sleep directly on metal coils overlaid with a thin layer of fabric. NO MATTRESS! No extra pillows nor a blanket was provided for the sleepers on the sofa bed. (We had made reservations for four adults). YOU WON’T GET MUCH BREAKFAST! The “continental breakfast” consists of bagels, two kinds of fruit, orange juice, coffee, milk, and some cold cereal. Which would be adequate if there was any attendant refilling these items. At 8am the coffee, orange juice and milk was gone, and with no attendant in sight these items were never refilled while we ate. The bagels and fruit were enough for our family…but I felt sorry for the next guest who arrived for breakfast since that’s all there was… no more, and no one keeping the tiny breakfast buffet serviced. YOU WON’T GET MUCH ATTENTION: Upon our arrival, we received no help from a bellman with our luggage. We had to park search for the trolley inside, figure out where the ramp was to truck it to the parking area, (around the block) and schlep our luggage into the hotel. PARKING? Well, we were met with a shrug from the front desk… “Wherever you can find a spot” was the response. Good luck…there is no designated area for hotel guests in this busy beach district. THE PRICE IS EXORBITANT: For $260 / night, the experience at the hotel was deplorable. The basics, that any Motel 6 provides, were absent. A decent mattress, reasonable quiet after 11 pm or so (If you know that this is primarily a “Party” place that is the best one could expect.) and a modest breakfast in the morning is something the cheapest of motels provide. We realize that a premium rate is commanded because of the handy access to the beach this hotel provides. Nice, but not worth the price.

Stay Away from this Restaurant!
By Lee, 1/29/09
I am a disabled veteran and an elderly friend and I went to the restaurant last summer. We went in and there was no one at the front and we wandered around a while before three people, a man and two women, finally appeared. Even though only three tables were occupied, we were seated outside. We asked the waitress if we could move inside because of the extreme heat and she escorted us to an inside table and we ordered drinks. Then the man came over and told us we would have to go back outside because all the tables were "reserved." It was much too hot to sit outside and we decided to leave. We had not touched our drinks, however, the man insisted we pay $8 for them or he could not "allow" us to "leave." About an hour later, after having dinner at the Sea Turtle down the street, we decided to walk around the back of the Casa Marina Restaurant to see if all those "reserved" tables were occupied. We were not surprised when we saw that most of the tables were empty. I don't know what was going on at that place, or why a disabled person and an elderly person were treated with such disrespect, but I will never set foot in the place again.

Good food but don't stay there overnight
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/08
I was there for a wedding, which was beautiful, on the back patio. The food for the wedding was really the best I've had for a reception. It was on a Sunday, and wedding guests wanted to keep partying but the bar upstairs was closed early. There is no covered parking and you have to kind of fight for a spot with the public parking and people going to the beach access. It was right on the beach which was nice. The rooms have been renovated with a retro feel which works for the age of the building, but the mattress was kind of lumpy and the feet were higher than the head. The air conditioning and ceiling fan were very noisy. Also, the lock for the adjoining room from the hallway didn't work, and we accidentally went in there thinking it was our room. The front desk and room service was very courteous. No pool.
