Like the first Yellow House (269/19 De Tham Street), our second family run hotel provides friendly, safe and clean accommodation for the budget conscious travelers.The hotel offers a choice of single, double, twin, triple, or quad rooms and also mixed dormitories. Dorm may also be reserved for all female or all male groups.All our rooms have private bath, hot showers, air-conditioning, mini fridge, 40 channels cable TV, and DVD players for rent. We even provide free internet access with WIFI in lobby. Just say "NO" to the Yellow House

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. The staff is mean spirited and out to extort the most money from their "guests", especially if they deem you a good target; from a wealthy country like the US. Small sheets that don't cover the bed and moldy walls round out the picture. There's no reason to stay here with all it's negatives, especially considering there's 100 cheap hotels within 2 blocks.

It was a blessing in disguise

We booked a room at 31 Bui Vien St but we were given a room at the old De Tham St. We were shocked to find out that this location was remote inside a narrow alley. But happy to say that the hotel staff were friendly, the room was clean, air-con is working extremely well, breakfast was good and lastly it was rather quiet at night and we hardly hear the noisy traffic. We were however not happy with the bed which was broken and make quite a lot of noises. Furthermore we do not quite like the coffee which is rather tasteless. In fact, Vietnamese coffee is not that great compared to Malaysian coffee.

rude staffs even room is cheap with free breakfast but mean nothing. the man manager treats guest ethically. if you like hiking here is best for you to climb up to your room.

bad hotel, rude and bad attitude staffs

this is the worst hotel i ever stayed in VN. in is on 31 Bu vien st District 1. It is the non servive minded family run business. Cheap price and low service. The room without window and a/c doesn't work. oh. only fan without cover is running and ready to cut your head off. even the location is not too far from ben thanh market but don't try even asked them how to get to places. they said that was a bothering to them because they don't want to spend they time to tell you. the youngest sister seems nice, the older sister is rude and look down of asains.the man manager is the worst. he kicked my luggage out from hotel and chased me to get away from hotel when i just gave comment that they should say it right that the water was not free because their staff said it was free. Water is cheap it is not a big matter to me. But what matter was the man manager is rude, I can't imagine why he did that to customer. he asked me to call police but when i called he get yellow as his hotel name and ran away. i strong not recommend for person who love your well being. many more hotels are waiting to serve ther guests bestter than them.

Will definitely go back!

The rooms are nice and clean. They have both an a/c and a fan and there is also a small fridge and cable tv. Breakfast is free: toast and jam, eggs, and fruit with either coffee or tea. The location is great. Just around the corner are souvenir shops that have bargain prices, a couple of stores that sell 2nd hand books and a lot of travel agencies that also change your currency into dong [they offer a higher rate than what you will get at the airport or the bank]. Everything in District 1 is walking distance: Ben Thanh Market, History Museum and Notre Dame Church. The best thing about the place is the staff. They are very kind, helpful and friendly.
