Anchorage House Bed and Breakfast, Beaufort

A great location with a friendly staff. A very clean and well Kept House that reminds me of visiting my Grandmother when I was a kid. The Breakfast is served with a variety of your typical breakfast foods plus a fruit and cereals for those that like a light Breakfast.

We were planning to spend our honeymoon there or the fifth day of it. However two days(six before our stay), a family emergency came up and I had to cancel. They still charged my credit card for the night along with a 20 dollar processing fee. When I called they didn't inform me that I would be charged and nothing about a processing fee. It is on their website but was not told to me verbally when I cancelled. I only found out after my credit card was charged. If I had known that, I would have mailed them a check and wouldn't have had to pay the service fee. Avoid this place if you need flexibility in travel.

Lousy service. I have never thus far met with an innkeeper who is so belligrant and aggressive towards a customer. May be alesson or two in customer service is hwat they need. If you are alright with a toilet in teh closet space and a bath tub that is right by your bedside, this place may work for you. Watch out before you book. Because they do not mention this 'romantic ' feature clearly on their site. you are supposed to know by looking at photos.

Wonderful place to stay. I was traveling on business and this bed and breakfast had all of the conveniences I have at a hotel and even more! Great location, great pricing and wonderful innkeepers! I will visit again.
