Lake End Park Campground & Marina, Morgan City

A camping trip to Lake End Park & Campground.I must say what a beautiful camp ground & park.Cypress Trees with hanging moss,Squirrells running all over the camp grounds.when everything change on the night of July 30,2010 .After a day of fun with family and Friends the day was ending to the Night. Waking up from a night rest to find out that our belongings has been stolen from us that night.Thieves have came into the camp ground Stole Ice Chest,Radio's and other items.There was several campers that was hit by these Thieves.We made a report to the local Police department off our missing items,to find out this has happend before. when asked about the night Security we was told there was none that the Park quit using Security personell at Night.Also after reporting this Incident amoung other that you would think that the manager of the park would come out and give there condulosis of our missing items. and Offer a rain Check and another week end of stay.When asked for the Manager we was told she will be in On Monday Morning, By then we would be gone because we were schedule to leave on Sunday.We all thought that by having Our items Taking from us they would offer an extra WeekEnd (Rain Check) to come back and Visit this Camping grounds.But No we could not talk to the manager to explain our feeling on Our Items taking from us. So the bottom line is when you go camping in Lake End Park secure all belongins before going to Sleep because there is no lock gate @ this Park and no Manned Securty Officer.

Our visit to Lake End was remember by our stuff getting stolen and the front office didnt have a clue what to do said the manager would be back monday she would tell him I THINK thats sad we spent our money to stay there and they seem to care less what happens to there visiters you would think a manger would come out to see what happen to make people want to come back and tell them there would try to make it better there but we wasn't the only person they also had 6 other campers that got hit but there is NO SECURITY there at all no matter what they say there were only cops during the day when they had event going on and i was told the last 4 weeks this has been happen and still nothing is getting done they went up on there price that fine but if u have to worry about your stuff getting stole WOULD u come back u come out ahead staying at a state park that gates lock and plus its cheaper SO why can't they put gates its a nice park but why would someone want to go back after this
