17 On Loader, Cape Town

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at Sweethoteldeals. Net They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

17 on Loader Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay in Cape Town. It’s a perfect location in a safe and quiet quarter, not too far from Waterfront and the centre of the city. Good restaurants are near by (old Cape Quarter). The staff is very helpful and friendly and gives a lot of information. Certainly in our situation when we were obliged to stay because of the volcanic eruption in Iceland. We appreciate the breakfast baskets, a nice talk with the staff and other guests. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We hope to come back there once again !

The place was great, very clean, very quiet. Owner is welcoming, especially on the first day... you don't really get to see anybody after that! Breakfast concept is good but doesn't leave place to much choice (it was the same thing every morning). If you can, bring a phone because they don't have one for the guests there. They told me to let them know if I needed a taxi but as no one is on site full time you kind of have to wait in the lobby (had to wait 1 hour some day) to make sure to catch them when they come in for 5 minutes. The neighborhood is safe and I could easily walk to the waterfront (30 minutes walk) or downtown (10 minutes walk). There are good restaurants 2 minutes away. Overall, I liked it.

It is not only a very comfortable guesthouse but also friendly staff, quiet and safe, not far from the city centre. All its details help to make oneself feel like at home: clean and tidy rooms, soft and thick towels, charming decoration, tasteful breakfast, and the awesome view from the top roof over the whole city of Capetown and Table Mountain. Highly recommended for singles and couples, very reasonable prices!

This Hotel is almost central to the modern Waterkant District. In the morning, a very nice basket with breakfast is set up for each room and living on Loader feels almost like renting an Apartment. There is a full kitchen which can be used should anyone want to cook etc. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom / showers are modern and maintained as well. A nice set of Restaurants and Bars are within 2 minutes walking distance. The area is safe and guarded, even at night, in the hotel privacy is respected. It's about 3 minutes by car to the very centre of CT, Long Street, the V&A Waterfront etc. a full set of flyers and information on what to do when in CT is available in the Hotel so planning of activities can be done on site depending on weather, that's very nice! The friendly staff is there to assist you on all needs.

I liked everything. Only the terras at the top floor should be more up to date. But that is just a detail.

I'll recommend this place for stay in Cape Town. Excellent location, very nice and friendly staff, very pleasant setting. I was filling like at home. I'll choose this place again when visiting Cape next time.
