Great for a short stay

Excellent! Free airport pickup even after delayed flight at 1 00 am at no time, excellent location next to the airport and VERY friendly services, we could not find better place between flights. If you are not looking for four star comfort but prefer value for money, this is the right place for you.

A friendly haven.

I stayed at Shoestrings on a number of occasions in 2006 and always found the owners extremely welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and the facilities all I could ask for. The neighbourhood was quiet and certainly safe enough to walk through to the local shops. One thing I particularly enjoyed, was the variety of fellow travellers. I seldom failed to find a fascinating companion for an evening by either the swimming pool, or the pool table. Whenever I next find myself in Jo'burg, Shoestrings will be top of my list for accomodation.
