Townhouse Hotel, Manila

Only 20 mins from airport (Average). Looks like a 5* without the pretence, close to all you need including a 'Roosters' and a 7/11!. Even has a 'good sized' swimming pool. TV was a bit small but otherwise, a bit Traditional a bit modern Plus a business suite in reception!

i love the place its so easy and chilled what i dont like is that the owners feel they have to defend themselves to all and sundry. im sure besides me there are many ,many who love the place for just the whole feeling of being in another country but being at home with the family ,ive said this before but im sure the real travellers will know but now after all the whining and moaning maybe the big investors and moneymen now realize what a little gem the townhouse is if so bill lorna whatch your back and plse dont rent out cos i know that way you have nurtured in the townhouse will just go to renting cheers bill lifes still a beach if you let it

I will never visit this place again. It was disgusting and disappointing in every way. First, last fall, on my way in from CEBU, I reserved a room and arranged ahead for them to pick me up at the Manila Airport (domestic) I ended up calling them 5 times and waited nearly 2 hours for them to send a driver the measly 1.5 miles to pick me up after many empty assurances that I had a free ride coming. Second, after I finally got there, I was put into a room where not a damn thing worked. Shower? Broke! TV? Broke! Facebowl? Broke... no faucet handles! AirCon? Broke! At least I got one good flush out of the toilet before it broke too. Bad enough everything was out of order, but the place was just plain FILTHY as a pig sty and the smell was unbearably stale with more than a touch of mildew. And to top it off, the woman at the front desk was as rude and obnoxious as humanly possible. When I asked for another room at first I was told there was nothing available, but later I was given a room down stairs(just as filty mind you)but at least I had a Hot Shower, TV, and A/C. The Desk Lady tried to charge me extra for this room but I told her I had reservation, and it was not my fault the original room was wrecked. I would have been happier if they had just told me the had no rooms... in truth, they had nothing acceptable to anyone but the most desparate - like me I guess. I wanted to check right back out immediately, but I had lots of appointments scheduled for the day and had a morning flight back home to catch the next day. Bill and Lorna (the Owners) are not on their job here and I could never recommend this HOTEL HELL to anyone!

I wasn't expecting the best for around $20.00 US nightly, but the place was filthy. I checked out a couple hours after checking in. Everything in the room was dirty. This place makes a Motel 6 look like a royal palace. By Philippino standards it may have been acceptable, but in the U.S. the Board of Health would close the place down.
