Rainforest Bed and Breakfast, Kuala Lumpur

Very friendly and extremley helpful staff, spotlessly clean and comfortable, reasonable rates felt like home. Situated on a quiet street in the centre of Bukit Bintang, very vibrant and interesting would go out of my way to stay here. We stayed here during the situation with the ash problem and the staff couldn't be more helpful we had to move rooms a couple of times because of earlier bookings but were happy to do this to be able to stay in this lovely hotel even then we packed our bags and the staff moved them while we went out I have nothing but praise for the Rainforest.

Nice place, bathroom and room clean ! nice staff, but..............BEDBUGS all over the matras and the sheets where old poor and thin. Stayed in room nr 1. dble room. stayed here in may 2007. Will not go there again as i was looking for something else instead of a big hotel. Tip was from the LONELY PLANET HAYSTACK.

It was our first time in Kuala Lumpur. I thought it would be hard to find the place from KL Sentral but when I saw the city map, it was quite easy to find since it's near the monorail station. The staff were quite helpful (Thanks again Ylmaz/Al) who gave a lot of info about going around the city. The the private room with ensuite bathroom good for four people was a surprise. It was roomy (since I hate cramped spaces), it had a double bed and two single beds which was exactly what I wanted. I loved the big mirror, dresser, cabinets with a safe and the cool and silent aircondition. Our bathroom was very nice although water tends to fluctuate whenever others baths are in use. The place was very clean and comfortable. All places of interest are quite near especially malls and local hawker stalls. If I were to go back to KL, I will definitely stay here again.Ph

BAD SERVICES- RAIN FOREST B&B ,KL POOR Hotel management treatment of guests is unbelievably…… Upon check in- 2pm, August 17′2009 to RAIN FOREST BED & BREAKFAST, KL- MALAYSIA. Front Desk A (FD-A) told me that dome sharing room are “FULL” : ” NOT AVALABLE ” . Single room for Rm 105.00 nett is available. Due to long stay of 10 days , I’ve prefer of dome sharing room for only Rm 35.00.After 20 minute FD-A mention that dome are available now?! But they are only CASH term; I need to pay daily deposit of Rm 35.00. When I step in to dome that is 2 available beds?! On 1pm,August 18′- I come down to front desk to paid a deposit but no invoice has issued by FD-B. I had confirmed with FD-B that I’ll check out a week from now- August 25′2009. FD-B confirmed told me that ” OKAY, NO PROBLEMS ” than deposit RM 35.00 I’ve to pay daily as FD-A and FD-B are agreed. On 2.30pm, August 20′- I wake up by someone knocking my room door and shouting “CHECK OUT TIME” I was confirmed my check out are on August 25′ That are another 5 days, but FD- B was standing in front of my door arguing ” NO” ” NO,NO” ” NO, my Boss ask u to leave because u didn’t pay till August 25’2009?! “ I’ve RSVP till August 25’2009” “ NO, but U didn’t pay! “ NO, My BOSS want U to leave now! and he chase me away and pack up my stuffs and leave asap. I was really frustrated as it was not convenient to move. When I come down to FD no one was there, I’ve step in to dining hall, a lady officer mention that FD no record that I’ll check out by August 25′.I than repeatedly asked to speak to the hotel FD-B that had told me. After 45minute going through 3 level of management are repeatedly asking mention that “NO”. Finally the Manager, I was explained again who I had talked to and what he had told me. She has offered to upgrade me to single room but Rm 100.00 per night: they can switch me to others room as I need to pay another 20US extra daily. FD- B step in to the counter and I mention that why he not RSVP till August 25′ and why he lying to about what I had been told. He just walks away with bad attitude. Finally, by this time I was extremely upset…. I just decided not to continue my stay at RAIN FOREST. I CANNOT recommend that anyone stay here because of incredibly poor way I was treated by the hotel management.
