This was one of the best places we stayed at in Japan. It is very traditional, at least on the inside. I loved watching 'The Samurai' when I was younger and this ryokan reminded me very much of that. Master Fujiwara is a lovely man and looked after my family very well. The ryokan is about 15 minutes walk from Nagasaki station. There is easy access to the tram which takes you to the peace park and museum (better then Hiroshima's). Ghostly lighting and a partial reconstruction of the largest Catholic church in Asia at the time it was destroyed by the bomb. A very scenic city and quite laid back. This ryokan is excellent and can be booked via email - which I found very easy to do. I should also add the Master Fujiwara and his wife speak English well enough to be of great assistance to any traveller!
