We look forward to returning!
First, let me say that the host, Antonio, is extremely helpful. Not only does he allow you to come and go at your own convenience, cater to your needs, give you expert advice on where to go and where to eat, but he does so without being obtrusive. Our travel plans hit a snag when the train workers announced a strike for the day we were to leave Venice. Antonio went out of his way calling various places to explore all alternate travel options. Upon deciding to stay another night in Venice, he helped arrange for us to stay at the house of a friend of his, Marina, as his place was already booked for that evening. Even though he is a superb host, we think of him more as a good friend.
The location is wonderful. Easy to get to from the train station, bus station, and boat landings. Just a few steps down a quiet alley off of the bustling main street youll find the quite serenity of this B & B on the top floor of an ancient building - no elevator. Venice is truly magical. It is exciting to walk around because you never know what amazing twist or turn or architectural detail or tranquil canal or beautiful bridge or cultural event or historical place or artistic masterpiece you will find next.
