Just what I needed!

This was the first hotel I stayed at in Europe. I was very happy with it. The hotels in the center of Padua cost 2 to 3 times more. I used Padua as my home base and took busses and trains to Verona, Venice, and Florence. The #10 bus (10-Sarmeola) goes from the train station to a bus stop right in front of the Hotel Sereno. The hotel was clean, the room was very nice, and the people at the front desk were great. I was able to get a good night sleep every night I was there (5 nights). The free wifi was a real plus. I ate at the restaurant several nights and was pleased with the food and service. I especially enjoyed walking around the nearby neighborhoods and checking out the local shops. The highlight of my stay there was watching a neighborhood church give an outdoor show that included singing and dancing nuns and Franciscan brothers. For those people that really like to experience a county and dont want to spend a fortune check out the Hotel Sereno.
