Wesley House, Kilkenny

We arrived to find no owner but a friend who knew nothing. We were showed a room that probably was ours but decided that it was too flithy, and untidy to stay. The lounge area was old and smelly,dirty and untidy also. I could not believe the conditions as all reports said otherwise. We waited for the owner who did not seem to be concerned about what we thought. We were not made to feel welcome. The 3 bedroom was a bed above a double bed and no other space for baggage. It was more like a cupboard. There were lots of young men around but not one women in sight. We believed to be run by a couple but is not. Another person arrived to book in, as we all had booked months earlier and they did not even have his booking. He was as disgusted as we were of the condition of the place that we all left to go somewhere else. There were 3 women in our party and 6 in the other of all ages. Wouldnot have liked to have eaten there

my stay at wesley house was pleasant and relaxing I found the servive very good The room was as you would expact for a hostel The location was good it was right in the middle of the city The staff were very friendly I would eccomend this hostel to fellow travellers

Had a nice time at wesley house .it is one of the better hostels I have stayed in If I am ever in ireland I will stay here again Aussie Duse
