We had a great time here. The rooms are small but we were barely in them and they had everything you need - powerful showers, quiet room , comfortable beds (despite the nylon bedsheet), heating (only a fan as aircon for the summer though). The only downside was the blinds in my room didn't close properly and had come detached a bit, so it was quite bright in the mornings. It's a short stroll to the u-bahn station where the train took less than 10 mins to Alexanderplatz (you could just hear the trains from the patio area but not inside the room) and there are lots of eateries, shops and a cinema round about. We had breakfast there - felt very sumptuous with white table cloths and candle-light - though it is best to get there before 9 as they don't seem to top up the cooked items and the boiled eggs go cold.

Excellent location - very close to the underground, and with good supermarkets, etc, close by. We had a large, spacious apartment, which was very comfortable and wholly sheltered from street noise. Excellent bathroom and good, functional, kitchen.Everything worked and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I believe that having clean bathrooms, shower curtains, toilet faucet, and toilet paper in the guest room bathroom speaks a lot about the quality of housekeeping of guesthouse facility. Guesthouse Berlin is a small facility but it has the best rooms I have come across in Berlin. The room (a double) was bright, airy, spacious and well-equipped. Everything worked and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I believe that having clean bathrooms, shower curtains, toilet faucet, and toilet paper in the guest room bathroom speaks a lot about the quality of housekeeping of guesthouse facility. Internet access is available in all rooms.

Location is very good in Prenzlauer Berg, just a hundred meters from metro and S-bahn. Friendly and service minded staff. Make sure to go for breakfast early, no refill on buffet. If breakfast is not offered free (as for us) don´t bother to buy it in advance. Better buffets are available on cafés nearby. We stayed 6 nights and a few of the day they charged for coffee and other days it was served free in cans. Rooms were excellent with separate entrance from the restaurant. Nice beds, clean bathrooms and a big TV. We would stay here again if we go back to Berlin!

Ihad the food and the hotel was nasty and the service was bad.The location was in a very bad lacation I even had a rat in my room.

Nice guesthouse within walking distance of museums, cafes, shops, trains and trams. Huge room and quite street. A perfect combination of new and old.The rooms are wonderful. Really close to a main U Bahn schoenhauser allee and easy to get to from Berlin Schonefeld(SXF)airport. Only 200 mtrs from the Hotel is a fantastic cinema and a great shopping center (turn right when leaving the hotel). Will definately be returning to Berlin and this guesthouse.

We had a very good time at guesthouse berlin. The location is excellent, the apartment was roomy and comfortable, and the Cafe was the perfect place to end an evening. We especially enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff in the cafe, although we are still tired from staying up late every night. San Francisco is boring - give me Berlin any time! A small but very nice and comfortable guesthouse which is very clean, has an excellent breakfast and a familiar atmosphere. And the staff is great.
