Costa RIca Guess House!! It Rocks

Nice place, they go the extra mile just to make sure you are taken care of. Everything under one roof. To include a Bar and Restaurant, open to the public so you can practise your Spanish talking with the locals. Live DJ.The guy working on the tours department, this guy from Cali, his name is Justin, he helped me soo much in the Planning of my Eco tour. This guy is the American Version Of Tony wheeler. {Ok not really| I stayed on the Guess House across the street from Mochila Backpackers. Extremly secured area. Ill highly recommended this place. An ATM machine in a walking distance, ill put this place on the 5 stars corner. Pura Vida.

Excellent Hostel Experience

The rooms were so clean, the beds comfortable and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The front desk clerk Diego made our experience in San Jose convenient and easy because he knew so much about the area. His English skills were also excellent. Our room was cozy but close to the street. The bathrooms were shared but quite similar to home. Quiet atmosphere with all the great amenities (pool, restaurant, big screen TV, etc) across the street.

this was the coolest accomodation of our whole trip. such a great atmosphere, both with other travellers and the facilities! a movie room, tv/library room, pool, internet, restaurant...it makes for a very sociable place where you can meet others very easily. great price too!

I love it

Costa Rica Backpackers was my highlight during my time in Costa Rica, met lots of travellers, lots of fun, freebies, and a fabulous place to meet very nice girls... Great bar and restaurant, loved the garden especially at night with the lights are on!!! I'LL BE BACK

Better than Tranquilo

This is the only hostel that I will stay at when in San Jose. During my last venture, I stayed there 3 times and each was better than the last. They had plenty of hammocks, a cold pool, 10 computers with free internet, free coffee, hip music, a restaurant, a tv room, and a movie room. Beer is available for only 600 colones, and they have security. There is plenty of space and the people are really friendly. I went to Tranquilo but they were full and were going to make me pay to sleep in their common room. Tranquilo only had 4 computers, was small, and was very stuffy. The backpackers is very laid back and is chill to lay by the pool all day.

The best hostel have ever been in the world, you just feel free there, and they provide lots of freebies, i loved teh pool and the party in the restaurant at the evening Inge january 2006
