Afton Guest House, Johannesburg

This was my first time to South Africa and did not know what to expect, i have never been treated so nicely and the home was emaculate and the food was over the top.. the bbq steaks before bed was incredible.. and wake up to a happy staff that knows how to please there guests.. !

I've stayed at the Afton Guest House a dozen or so times. In fact, I make it an obligation to myself to rest up a day there when on my way to anywhere in Southern Africa after a long flight from the States. These folks are true professionals in getting problems solved if your baggage doesn't arrive with you, if you need special permits or if you just want a great supper before you begin a safari. You will be staying at their home and will soon become a family member. I highly recommend!

The owners, Louis and Annalise Becker provide outstanding service from when you are greeted in the airport until you leave them. They provide a wonderful guest house that is immaculate,comfortable and friendly. You can't better the convenience and service.

Louie and his wife Annelise went out of their way to treat me like family. I started and ended my African Safari from here and it safe and convenient.
