Olympia Crown Hotel, Kingston

The hotel was situated near Half Way Tree bus terminal. The area wasn't too great. The outside appearance was OK. The customer service was welcoming at first. The lady at the front desk was very helpful, and nice. However, we later found out she made a lot of mistakes with our check in. We had to pay a deposit for the remote control, and iron. Yet, every other minute room service would take the iron to allow someone else to use it and we wouldn't recieve the iron until hours even days later. Tip: iron all of your clothes at once then return it and get back your money. THE ROOM wasn't nice at all. The hallways leading to the room were very ugly like an old abandoned school type of look. The room was missing a shower head, and it took them 3 days to give us one and they refused to give us a new room. The poles on the sink kept falling down. The A/C was very dirty, and the room was very dusty. The art in the room consisted of big posters of LION KING! And room service was horrible! It took them two hours to bring us juice. In addition everymorning they would wake me up by banging on the door to ask a ridicule question. Later I found out by a few locals that this hotel reputation is a place you use as a BROTHEL!! NOT ONLY THAT THE PERSON NEXT DOOR WAS ABLE TO SPY ON US WHILE WE WERE BEING INTIMATE.... BECAUSE HIS ROOM WAS ADJACENT TO OURS WITH A CRACK THAT WE WEREN'T ABLE TO SEE AT FIRST Do not stay at this hotel if you are planning to stay there longer than 6 hours a day. Do not depend on this hotel to serve you nice food, help explain the surronding area, phone calls, etc. WORST HOTEL ALMOST RUINED VACATION

The service was o.k. On several occasions we had no water and had to wait to shower. There were no screens on the windows and the room was filled with bugs. I had bit marks all over my body. It was like camping in the woods. I was oh so happy to leave. I would not stay here again unless major changes occur.

It is very uncomfortable at nights. there are no screen mesh on the windows and as a result, bugs and mosquitos invade the rooms.I have been here three years straight,but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.Actually the only reason I return to this hotel is because of outstanding services given by an individual [ valarie], who goes out of her way to please customers. Honestly, I have never had a problem with the cleanliness of the hotel but if there is a shortage of towels or equipment failure,or if I need information, advice or directions,when other staff members take their time in dealing with the situation,Valerie reacts promptly and does not stop until the problem is solved. She is probably the greatest asset that the hotel has and should be highly commended.

honestly the hotel from the view from the streets it looks nice. the lobby area is quite fine actually standard. the rooms on the other hand are not in the best possible shape. I beg the owners please ensure that the only publicity you get are good ones,if it is, you get bad reviews let it be a rowdy client who would make it his duty to belittle the hotel, not becuase of your incomptence as a manger and unfriendly staff.Services are what makes the hotel stand out!!! clean comforatble ambiance, infrastrructures that work,and well groomed pleasing to the eye staff. I know that the economy is bad right now and investments are low but that is no excuse for unfortunate service.Please make these adjustments.Thanks Badu

I like the cleaness of the hotel the room was very clean,the dining area was clean the food was good,the hotel staff was helfull,and manager was helfull,

no one should ever ever stay at this dirty place.. the hotel is so filty ,you can get very sick staying at this hotel.. please ,go pay the money and stay at the pegasus of even the knustford court hotel. i paid to stay at the olympia crown hotel for 3 nights, as soon as i saw the room, i had to make a u turn.. i couldn't stay there for not even a second... The place is dirty, Olympia crown hotel need to lock down by the jamaica health department. please do not stay at this place, even the staff is horoble.. its just a dirty place.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST HOTEL (SHOULD NOT BE CALLED ONE) I HAVE EVER STAYED IN.... AND I'VE STAYED 6 MONTHS IN A WAR ZONE (LIVING IN A TENT) IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST. THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN CALL THEMSELVES A HOTEL. EVERYTHING IS BROKEN AND WORSE YET THE ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF IS APPAULING. FACT: THE STAFF IS HORRENDOUS AND THEY WILL NOT GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. THE ROOMS SMELL, NOTHING WORKS, NO WATER, NO TOWELS.... JUST THE WORST AND IT IS ONLY REALLY FOR HAVING A "ONE NIGHTER" AND NOT STAY TO SHOWER BECAUSE THERE IS NEVER ANY WATER FLOWING OUT OF THE PIPES. JUST THE WORST!!!!! STAY AT THE HILTON, THE PEGASUS, OR FOUR SEASONS HOTEL AND YOU WILL LOVE KINGSTON, JA

My family and I rented the hotel for 3 days. We only stayed 1 night. First, they only give 1 set of towels to each room and so I had to ask for an additional because I had a 10 month old and a 3 yr old with me. Within 1/2 hr of when we checked in we had no water. We waited for 3 hrs before we could have a bath. The bulbs in the room were not working and we had to get someone to change them. They had no complimentary breakfast. Their customer service was of no use. We could not get back our deposit until the manage came in on Monday. This was from Friday. We left and went to another hotel. This was my first time at a hotel in Jamaica and I was not in the least impressed. This is not a hotel; I wouldn't even call it a motel or inn because inns and motels here are clean and some even give breakfast. Even at an inn you get enough towels for everyone. They need to change their name to reflect just a quick stop over but nothing longer than a night.
