I never stay anywhere else!

I am a foreigner living in Jingmen, Hubei Province, which is down the road from Wuhan. During my first year in China I traveled to Wuhan often, and stayed at many different hotels. They were horrible. Some of them ranked high up on this site. Bugs, creepy crawlies, bad smells, loud noises you name it? it happened.
I can't remember how I stumbled on this hotel, HK& Macao Center Business Hotel, but I am glad I did. The location is wonderful!!! The major and famous walking street in Hankou district is right outside the hotel, not a five minute walk, you step out and there it is! The famous Brasillan BBQ is beside the hotel. Fancy this, wearing your slippers, walking through the connecting door to the mall and there you are. As much BBQ as you can eat for 58Y. wow.
The Metro is only 15 to 20Y taxi ride (dpending on which way you go), and the airport is only on average 70RMB. I usually pay 100RMB if the driver lets me practice Chinese on him and if he is fun. (This 100RMB also includes the 15RMB toll both fee)
The rooms in this hotel are simple, and with a taste of the orient. Hardwood floors, white sheets and pristene white walls. The bathrooms are elegant and spacious and there are always towels.
If you are a foreigner checking in be sure to ask for Ben or Greg. They are two of the funiest men I've met so far in China. And they speak English quite well.
There is a breakfast every morning, the only complaint from this foreigner, is that the coffee is sometimes cold, and foreigners need bigger mugs. The french toast? Really good!!!!
Its well worth the money to stay here.
As a side note..... you are a 7RMB taxi ride from what I call the Disco District. But that's a different story.
