I'm staying hear again 2010!
By M, 02/03/10
This was the best experience I have had thus far at Mrytle Beach. Beautiful grounds... yes it is pricey but what do you expect for an upscale resort. My room was lovely! I can say that I did not need a vacation from my vacation because I had a wonderfully blessed time, moving from my room to the pool, from the pools to the hot tub, back to the pool, into a hammock, onto the ocean and to the gym, etc... I think you get it! I was awwwwwwwwwwwwsome!

nice grounds & pools But rooms were lacking.

The grounds were beautiful the pools divine. But the rooms were very small & even with a bad view you still pay too much!

Awesome experience!

My husband and I wanted a long weekend get-a-way where we could relax in luxury and the Marriott didn't disappoint us.  The service was exceptional and the resort was beautiful.  We stayed poolside most of the time; gorgeous!!  The staff was very pleasant and very accommodating and we will definitely go back in the future.  If you are looking for relaxing times, nice room and wonderful service, don't hesitate to book your stay here!!!   Well worth the money.

Great Pool On The Ocean
Went to Myrtle Beach and stayed at the Marriott and the Anderson Ocean Club. Two totally difference experiences. What we liked about the Marriott. Beautiful Pool, with excellent bar and resturant service durning the day. Music plays all day, that is very nice. The Beds were awesome, that is if you love soft beds. Wondeful bedding. The rooms were extremely small and no balconies, that was a negative for us. Old TV's,no place to store things in the bathrooms, blow dryers are whimpy. (Bring your own!) Room service does not show up till almost dinner time. Not great for those who like to shower and dine early. Went to Breakfast at 8:15 am, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was ok..not great. Very Overpriced. $35 for two for breakfast. Take a quick jaunt down the road to Stacks Pancake House and get a great breakfast for less than half the price! Gift shop attendants hate their jobs or at least it seemed that way. Would I go back. Maybe. I think I would rather investigate buying a timeshare or renting one of the units at the Villa's with full kitchens so you do not have to rely on the overpriced offerings of the Marriott Hotel. We liked staying at the Anderson Ocean Club better. Not a huge pool like the Marrioot, but it's right on the beach and the rooms are two times the size, with full kichens, flat screen tv's and internet service was FREE, no charge for parking, Magnolia's resturant had a nice breakfast and they offer spa services. Don't get me wrong the Marriott was nice.We didn't need all the offerings of a huge resort with massive hallways and all the hype. The Boutique Hotel offerings of the new Anderson Ocean Club is a very good choice as well.

Average at Best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/08
This hotel hides overpriced services and average customer service behind well decorated but small rooms. At the rates this place charges I expect much better service than bullies for valet attendants, and 10.00 extra a day for internet service. It is also off of the beaten path for Myrtle Beach and is used as a fancy sales office for onsite condo sales.

"Poor Cousin"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/08
The staff were wonderful, could not ask for better. Rooms were small but nicely furnished. All of the smokers had to huddle outside in the cold and wind, guess I won't spend my money to be a second class citizen again. Lots of other smokers agreed. No smokers rooms, no dollars for Marriott.

Can't wait to go back!!!!!
By kiddaboo, 03/14/08
There is nothing to dislike!!! This place is wonderful. Walk about 20 feet and your on the beach. The swimming pool area is gorgeous and includes an outside bar/restaurant. My room had an amazing view of the ocean. THe location is convenient to anything you would want(Mcdondals,BK,Red Lobster, CVS etc..)

Awesome!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/08
We have stayed at practically every nice place at Myrtle Beach through the years and no one has this resort beat. We had the best time and can not wait to go back. It is as clean as any place I have ever seen.. We called for room service and they would be there before you could hang up the phone (nearly). The fitness room was our favorite. It had everything you can imagine, including bottled water and cool towels for a hot brow. I can promise you, you will not be disappointed in the hotel in any category. If I had to give a negative, it would be in the $10 parking fee because I hate to pay to park, but that is a normal fee in a lot of places. We have been on several cruises and enjoyed our stay here much better. f Smith
