Wouldn't Stay Here Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/10/11
I stay i hotels in seattle all the time, and there are plenty that are realyl great, in fact I have never written a negative hotel review before. The Silver Cloud Hotel on Broadway simply doesn't measure up to other similiarly priced hotels. In fact, I have stayed at way cheaper and only 2 or 3 star hotels that were much better.
The problems? Not friendly staff...they simply are not there to help you. They are there waiting for their shift to end. The "heated" pool was too cold I was in for about 1 minute and had to jump to the hot tub. THe light in our room was broken and the tv remotet was dead when we got there---had to call maintenance twice in a 1 night stay, and there was never a "were sorry" it was just a "ok i will send someone up, bye". Finally, I tried tto extend our check-out till 1, which every hotel in the world is willing to do, and of course, this place wouldn'tt!
The nice parts: Room was nice, bed was decent, hot tub area was nice, maintenance guy who came to our room (twice) was very nice and professional.
DONT STAY HERE. you will get more value somewhere else.
