Great place, but whats with the reviews?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/16/09
In reading the reviews for the different places I have noticed the same bad review put in twice for both the Clarion Hotel Victorian Charm Inn and the Avoca Bed and Breakfast. Something is not right. The so called insidence could not have happened twice and at both locations. The creator of this website needs to deleate these reviews because they appear to be from a competitor. We love the place and have stayed there two year running. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

We Really Loved Our Stay Here !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/3/09
We found the beds to be very comfy and the rooms were beautiful. Their website is very acurate. We enjoyed the grand dining room and being able to meet people from around the world. The owners were very accomodating and they gave us good recomendations for things to do around town. There was a good variety of food at breakfast and we'll defintley stay there again.

Verbally Abusive Unbalanced proprietor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/08
In the communal breakfast room, I took an emergency cell phone call from a co-worker. Her infant had stopped breathing and had just been taken to the hospital and I was asked to cover some work for her. The hovering hotel manager told me to hang up my phone, I ended the call. When I attempted to explain the nature of the call to the manager he started shouting in my face that he would "throw me out of the breakfast room." It was particularly threatening to me as a female. My husband had to tell him to stop verbally abusing me. The ONLY reason we stayed another night was that there were no other rooms available in town. I travel to Kanab several times a year, I will never stay at The Clarion again, I would not be comfortable with such an unpredictable person on the premises. The accomodations were less than A-1 too, because several amenities did not work in the first room assigned, we requested to be moved to another room, all that was available was a smaller room which was not comfortable.

Between a Motel & a B&B
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/26/08
We stayed in the handicap room right off the lobby. It was quiet, until breakfast - to be expected. Nicely decorated. Overhead fan nice touch in the room. No closet-tight short hanging area in bureau aside the tv. Large roll-in shower & very easy access for a wheelchair on the property. Breakfast ok -lots of cold choices, but eggs so-so. John (mgr?) very pleasant & accomodating.

Good location, nice people
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/6/06
This is a good location, but a little pricey. We paid $109 for a twin with a spa tub, but that included a good home-cooked breakfast. The spa was in a corner of the main room, and no separate shower was included, so in the morning you had to stand (or sit) and use the tub shower. Free Wi-Fi; in fact you can pick up Internet connections from two other nearby hotel/motels. Kanab is a wonderful little town. If you want to rest after a busy day at Utah's beautiful scenic spots, this could be the place. If you just want to sleep and smoke tires for Phoenix in the morning, maybe you want to find something cheaper. A friend of mine stayed at the Victorian and just loved it and can't wait to get back.

Nice surprise and great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/05
Extremely nice hotel (hot tub and fireplace in room) and breakfast made for you in a.m. Only negative was overhood comment made by staff that visitors where "wasting water" by using hot tub night before?! We used it once and it took quite a bit to fill up. We live in a small apt in the city and it was nice to enjoy the amenities the hotel offerred. Would definitely stay there again.
