La Quinta Inn & Suites New Braunfels, New Braunfels

I booked this room on priceline so didn't pay the full price. I would not pay the full price for this room - it should not cost more than $65 a night but it does. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The rooms have thin walls because I could hear the person in the room next to me almost like he was in my room.

I'm unable to change scores for Service (2), Cleanliness (2), Location (5) & Value (2) Likes: Ice machine and quiet AC. Dislikes: We had decided to stay a 3rd night and they actually charged us more per night than the previous 2. What a special Deal - Not!! While in New Braunfels, I saw a couple similar hotels with Vacancy signs and I called to check their rates. They were $79/night for the Tuesday we had to pay extra for. We really didn't want to move again so I called the front desk and asked for a better rate than the $98. The manager was rude and unhelpful. As we were checking out another lady was complaining about him. The room wasn't clean - there was a dirty paper towel under the bed ruffle on the floor when we came in. There was a long hair stuck to the back of the bathroom door. The elevator on this property was extremely slow. The first morning we came down for breakfast at 8:30 and they were out of most food. No sausage or eggs. 1 piece of fruit left. 1 cereal that my kids wouldn't eat. We drank coffee for awhile awaiting restocking which didn't happen. Overall - very disappointing! I'd heard LaQuinta was improving but it didn't seem like it to me.

Thank God every time that I've stayed there it's been great. I always had a nice, clean room; good service and a very good breakfast. I've been staying there for the last 7 years. I love it! It doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles, but it's nice and in a great location, for me anyway.

We stayed their from Aug. 7th through Aug. 10th. It was not that great. They said they provide roll away beds; however, they did not feel like looking for one the first night. So we had to sleep three to a bed. They also said they did not have any extra cover for the sofa bed. The service and the kindness of the staff was bad. The house keeping lady left empty soda cans and paper in the room everyday. They really need to work on their people skills and service. The suite was an awesome size. They claimed it would work for a family of 4. WRONG!! Not without the roll way bed.

Quiet, close to Schlitterbahn, Nice staff. Will stay here again.

The service was great and the room was clean and comfortable. It is centrally located at intersection of IH-35 and State Hwy 46 making it conveinent to travel in any direction (San Antonio, San Marcos, Round Rock, Austin, Seguin, Boerne, etc.) The only drawback is easy access to HWY 46 since there is so much traffic congestion (backed up) at the stop light you can't easily access 46 from that point, however you may access the feeder road for IH 35 make a block or two and circle back to 46. It is a great place to stay but a little overpriced unless you receive some sort of discount. I will stay again!!
