Comfort Inn and Suites, Mt Pocono

The staff is very friendly and tries to help in anyway possible. However this place reaks of MOLD and MILDEW. If you're sensitive to that, you may not want to stay here. The pictures are very deceptive. The gym has one treadmill, that's very old and the weight equipment has frayed cords holding the weights together. The rooms are also not the cleanest either. The breakfast is ok, but it's mainly a carb fest. They're also very strict about NOT letting you check in early. Overall, okay but it wouldn't be my first or second choice again.

I went there and it was nice.The breakfeast was nice.They had cereal and everything.The suprising thing was outside the window was alot of police and fire trucks and I think ambulance.Someone made popcorn and it said it was a fire.I would stay there again!

The hotel was very clean visually. Clean smelling as well, smoke free (espec good if sensitive to smells or allergies). Floors were spotless and shiny, lobby was warm and inviting with the fireplace. Dark wood stairs and balconies make it feel like a quaint inn, not a chain hotel. Pool was clean as was hot tub (not alot of oomph to the jets though). Room was nice, we had a king bed suite with handicap bathroom (huge bathroom). Didn't feel skeeved to walk around in bare feet. Breakfast was good, need to get to it early on crowded weekends as the favorites go quick and they don't refill. Staff was helpful and always friendly with getting extra towels, and suggesting restaurants to eat at. Bailey's steak house nearby is great. Hotel is on a main road, there is a superwalmart and kmart very close. Close to Camelback and Alpine. Our downside was that we had asked upon booking if the suite was 2 rooms. Staff indicated it was so. Asked again same question when we called to confirm reservation a day before trip. Same ans. Came to find out that it isn't 2 room suite (like embassy suites), unless you consider a short wall the ht of the bed enough to make 2 rooms (obviously, they do). Wish they had explained this to us. Wasn't expecting to spend 3 nights with the kids.

Every year when we go skiing at Camelback, we stay in this Comfort Suites. It is very modern, nice looking, and clean. They have a very nice included coninental breakfast in the morning, which is far better than taking the kids to a restaurant. The lobby area is very attractive, and they have a nice pool, hottub and fitness room. The hotel it ten minutes from Camelback. FYI, the Comfort Suites in Bartonsville is a dump, and should be avoided at all costs. This hotel, however, is a nice choice.

The room had a small hot tub. It was not big enough for the two of us. The address was a bit confusing. we made several u-turns and searched arround til we found it. no ice maker on the second floor. I had to call the front desk to find out if they had one at all. I loved the fresh malted waffles.

We have stayed at other Choice Hotels, and we have always had a positive experience, until now. The hotel rooms (we got two adjoining rooms) were dirty, particularly the bathrooms. The rooms were small. The hotel is difficult to get to. My daugther leaned on a railing on the second floor and it came right off. If she had been any smaller, she could have fallen from the second floor. When staff members were alerted they did not seem concerned or surprised. Management was unwilling to help us resolve an issue that came up during our stay. Overall, we were not pleased during our two day stay, and we will not be staying at another Choice Hotel because of this experience.

This hotel is great!!!!!!!!! best in the poconos, the staff makes you feel like family, the rooms are very clean, great lobby, and a whole lot of choices for breakfast. Great pool, jacuzzi, & fitness center. Anything you want the staff is ready willing and able to help you out. I would tell all my friends when coming to the pocono's stay at this great hotel.
