Gas Stolen and Hotel Management Not Honest
By Hank, 08/20/09
The Hotel itself is new, clean and greatly located. However the management is not honest. My rental car had a full tank of gas and the trip meter showed 29mpg. The next morning I was below 3/4 of a tank and the computer registered 18mpg! Talked to the manager about it and he didn't seem to care. I stayed for two days such as my receipt reflected. When I checked my credit card bill they added a charge for another night. When I called the hotel they said there was still luggage in the room. I promptly sent them my airline receipts (with time of departure which was early am) proving that I was not in the area for the extra night. The manager said he would take care of it. Well after two weeks the charge was not removed. The hotel was called numerous times but the manager was never available and would not return my phone calls. The problem was elevated to the Holiday Inn guest relations and the manager wouldn't even return their calls! The guest relations sent me a check to cover the charges...

Pay In Cash
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/09
We used this hotel right after it opened. Great. We travel to Austin from Alabama and this half-way. Used it 4 times coming and going. The next time we used it was Dec 2008 returning Jan 2009. Ad said starting Jan 1, $50 dog deposit. Wrote manager...$25 was ok. Stayed 12/29. No pet deposit on bill, as should be. Credit card bill reflected add-on of $50, even tho it wasn't Jan 1 and even tho the manager had reduced by email. On the return trip, at check-out, they added the $50 deposit. I showed the manager response of $25. They were not happy, but corrected. Room fine and we don't leave the dog unattended...ever. I will not return since they do not read the reservation agreements, nor do they keep their word and the deposit is unreasonable. I am going elsewhere. Too many red flags of managerial problems.

A very nice place to stay. All staff was very friendly. Room was nice and clean. I stayed in a suite that was large enough to stay in for several days. I would highly recommend this hotel! LJ from Texas

Old Stand-By comes through
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/05
There are many things about this town that leave a lot to be desired, but the jewel in my trip was my good old Holiday Inn. A courteous staff, and very clean hotel. Good free breakfast too. (muffins, cereal, danishes) It's right off the Interstate and near quite a few restaurants and the only decent movie theatre in town. Since it's on the Interstate you have a straight shot to most of the town, or out of the town and on through to the casinos of either Shreveport, or Jackson, Ms. One thing to check out in this town if you're there in the spring to early summer is Cormier's. It's a crawfish boil restuarant and it's as authentic as you can get!

Great Hotel for a Small Town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/05
The service there was excellent. The hotel clerks were extra friendly and showed their southern hospitality! Great location, near many family style resturants such as Chile's and Cracker Barrell.
