Mountain Creek - Black Creek Sanctuary, Vernon

I mean come on....The terrain is horrible unless it's the only place you've ever been to. Its filled with redbull cans and ciggarette butts and its expensive for what it is. The only semi good thing is that its close to Met- NY It gets WAY too crowded on the weekend which makes it dangerous for beginners. The terrain isn't difficult at all for the experts. Nightlife is cool. So its great for students and singles. Def. not familiers!

BlackCreek Sanctuary is the townhouses that are located across Highway 94 from the main ski area. Built to resemble a classic style mountain lodge, these 1, 2, and 3 bedroom townhouses are wonderfully appointed with woodsy furniture, light fixtures and paintings. Kitchens are gormet and all the amenities are top notch. I have stayed here twice during the summer and would return again. On our second visit the pools seemed a bit murky and maybe more cleaning, but other than that the place is spotless. One other point, the place is still being developed and you want to make sure you are not located next to the new construction which can start early in the morning. Also, sone fo the staff are still learnig about the resourt, so you may have to talk to several people to get a question answered. I expect this to improve in the future. During the summer, your close by dining is very limited....Pizza or the disapointing Vernon Inn (see my review for the warning). Your best bet is to drive to Warwick NY (15-20 minutes away) which has a fine sampling of what appear to be good resturants. On the otherhand, you may never want to leave the Sanctuary and the kitchen is better than those found in most homes.

I went to mountain creek with my camp and everyone agreed that Mountain Creek is the BEST waterpark. I want to go back tomorrow

This place is smack in the middle of a great place, Angel West bought out a great place Action Park...Action park was a great place a lot better rides. Angel West took out all the exciting fides and made it a family park. They then tore up Rt94 a major route for most people in Vernon. They then block traffic in town so what used to be a 10 min ride can now be in the ups of 30 min.

We had a great time and we will return. But two things we hope will change. First, we had a long drive home and there were no showers for us to shower and change. They had a public shower in the middle of the park and changing rooms but no place to shower with soap and shampoo. The only other thing was it is a long walk from parking lot to actual park. Longer when leaving and tired!!! Thought we would never get to car.
