Geyserville Inn, Geyserville

We celebrated our 25th anniversary with our first wine-tasting tour of Sonoma. It was the most romantic week of our lives. Our room was comfortable and cool on those 100-degree days. The hotel is right where we wanted to be to reach the vineyards, wineries, restaurants, redwoods and Pacific Ocean. Location, location, location.

The Geyserville Inn was a hugh disappointment. Pictures indicated a modern well equiped room. The room stunk to high heaven. Searched everywhere for plug in fragrance, candle or the source of the odor. Finally ran AC on high and still had to open the window to tolerate the smell. There is no elevator at the Inn. I had to drag a heavy suitcase up to the second level. The desk clerk was a very rude young lady at time of check-in. I thought the room would have a refrigerator - wrong. No balcony, Spa was not available. Ice machine very inconviently located across the pool area. The ONLY thing I can say good about the Geyserville Inn is the restaurant located next door. The Hoffman House was excellent for breakfast. Very courteous staff. M. Womble Plano, Tx.
