Rock House, Dunmore Town

Highly recommended! First class service. Food fit for a King. The atmosphere is so laid back, relaxing and comfortable. The heated pool and surrounding terrace is a highlight. Dining in one of the private cabanas is quite romantic. There's a special view of Dunmore Town Harbour from the restaurant's porch, perfect for watching sunsets. The owners were on the premises when we were there and made sure we were comfortable and happy. The ambiance and design are testament to Wallace Tutt's true talent as an interior designer -- serious attention to detail throughout. The rooms are tastefully done and most comfortable. The hotel has a private area in an excellent location on Harbour Island's famous Pink Sand beach. Rock House provides most everything you need for hitting the beach including picnic baskets and a cooler for your drinks. They can even make arrangements for horseback riding on the beach! Rock House is simply a special place in the Bahamas. If you want to be truly spoiled, Rock House is the place to be. We plan on returning again next Spring.
