One our most favorite experiences on our trip to Alaska was Selovia. It's a quant village south of Homer on the Kenai Pennisula, only reached by ferry or plane where culture and beauty meet.
Our room at Alaska Dancing Eagles was a newly renovated apartment complete with an unstocked kitchen (you need to bring everything over on the ferry), a loft, Master bedroom and Living room. It has a beautiful deck overlooking the harbor and is located at the beginning of the old boardwalk.
It's an easy walk from the ferry.
Our dinner at the Mad Fish was so good we went back again the 2nd night. We ate so much that we had to walk the Otterbahn trail both nights - starting at 10pm. It din't get dark until midnight.
The museam is definately worth a stop where the mysteries of the town are uncovered. On the flight back we paid extra for our pilot to fly us over the glaciers - well worth it!
