this lodge owner play dishonest game
We had a bad experience with this Duck Lake lodge. This lodge owner collect money in very dishonest way. We made the reservation and made a change before the week of cancellation charge apply. We were told no problem at all at that time and no confirmation number is needed. We trust the lodge owner.
We checked in as reservation. However the room is extremly small, 3 single bed occupied almost 80% space. One of the rack loosed and fall to the bed in the midnight, luckly none was hurt.
The urgly story happens after we left this lodge, I notice my credit card is charged one extra day other than the days we reserved and stay. Even surprisingly, I notice I carelessly signed a bill which include one extra day charge, no one told us of the bill change at that time. I though the owner made mistake and called back. The owner told me she never made mistake, the one extra day charge is the cancellation fee. I try to rexplain to remind her all the story. What make me angry is she just let me hold, hold, hold, then hand up without call back.
What an urgly experience with the Duck lake Lodge!!!! I have very nice trip and met lots of nice local people, I can hardly believe the Ducklodge ower can behave in such an urgly way!
Avoid this Lodge!!!
