A neat place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/11
Cool how they turn a old barn into a place to stay, with Queen bed ,a two person spa with rain shower over it another room with counter top with micwave, frige, disherwasher, table with dishes set up with each a muffing, a coffee pot and there jars with coffee reg, and decaf, tea, and pot .There is couch to sit on which is a hidabed, and fake working fire place . There a nice pound in front of it with lawn chairs. The only down fall we had were three spiders I had to kill one try to home with me, but to understand this a wood place out in county beside that we would stay there again.we plain to come back with our 11 year old son so he can enjoy it.

Absolutely Amazing!!!
By Lauren, 7/29/10
This is my all time favorite place to stay when I come to Port Townsend. The location of this bed and breakfast is amazing! It sits right on the water and is only a 5 minute walk to town. I stayed here with some friends and loved the breakfast basket we received every morning. The grounds of this Bed and Breakfast are beautiful! Makes me wish every B & B could be as charming and beautiful!

Wow what a weekend!
By tina, 7/22/10
My husband and I were there two years ago and came back to a even better Barn! Another room to make snacks and have the kids relax in while we sat out by the pond. The new additions to the barn made our stay twice as wonderful. We all enjoyed wlking on the beach and hiking the many trail of Fort Warden...Wow what a weekend.!

Great location! Fort Worden State Park steps away
By Bernadette, 7/14/10
What a wonderful place! We arrived early and were able to start enjoying the area right away, we walked to the bluff and enjoyed watching the boats and kayakers going by. Back at "the Big Red Barn" we were so happy with this place! Fabulously decorated, great bed, and oh my when we set eyes on that bathroom! There is a jetted tub, candles, bath salts, brass fixtures, fluffy bathrobes and a rainshower in the middle of it all! Incredible!!! The rest of it was cool too, lots of space in the fridge for our stuff so we could make sanwiches for our picnic on the beach and every thing we needed in the beautiful kitchenette. We loved sitting by the pond at the end of each day, it was really romantic! We will definitely come stay here again the next time we come to Port Townsend.

This was SO SO CHARMING!!
By HeatherT, 7/14/10
What a cozy and charming place to stay. We came for a family wedding at Fort Worden, and this was so close! My children loved the little fish pond, they spent a lot of time catching tadpoles. This was conveniently located and the hostess was SO NICE! Highly recommend this place to stay.

What's all the hype about?!?
By AmandaD, 6/23/07
PROS ~Dogs welcomed ~Close to state park but far from downtown ~TV/DVD, fridge, X-SMALL miro, dishes and silverware in room. CONS ~No closet, dresser or place to put clothes! ~No breakfast basket as promised just two muffins our stay was 4 night! ~No soap only the bathroom sink. ~4 bath towels for 2 people 4 nights. ~Dirty dishes and placemat set on table with no supplies to fix ourselves. ~Overlook a backyard and house *******NO SHOWER******* This "Bed and Breakfast" was more like a cabin, and didn't live up to the hype of the press it got or the pictures on website only 2/3's of barn. Good for a 1 night get-a-way.

NOT A B&B, don't stay longer than 1 night!
By AmandaD, 6/18/07
We went midweek & spent 4 nights. This place would be great for just a 1-2 away. We stayed too long @ barn. It isn't a B&B, hotel, motel... I guess a cabin? -Close to Ft. Worden far from downtown PT -Dog Friendly -Comfy bed -Cable TV with DVD player -Big bath tub for two NO SHOWER! -Large fridge & small miro (too sm for popcorn!) -Didn't like the lack of services:
