Poor Customer Service
By maria, 08/20/07
I was very disappointed in the lack of care to detail by the innkeeper. I had requested and got confirmation that we would have breakfast in bed delivered to our room...that was the plan at least I thought it was...it NEVER happened!!! We went to the main house and the innkeeper did not offer us coffee or breakfast she just asked, "Are you ready to check out now?" she was very busy and in a hurry...It was not pleasant at all. We had the bad luck of not making reservations for dinner the night we arrived then we fell asleep only to wake up at 9pm and find that everything downtown was closed up for the night!! We explained to our innkeeper about it and that we ended up eating at the only place in town that was open that late...and when we told her where we had to eat...she scolded us and said, "I cannot believe you had to eat there, I mean with so many places open during that time you really did not have to eat there!" As if we did not drive around and go from one end of the town to the next looking for anything open...so the first night was a wash...so I put it off and thought it would be better in the morning since I had pre-planned and confirmed our romantic breakfast in bed for the next day....only to be sent out in the cold with a door being slammed in our faces on the way out!!! When we got there we arrived at 4pm sharp...our inn keeper let us in but then spent the entire time telling us about her computer double booking problems over the summer and how she has had to bump others into better rooms for the same price and how much money she has lost over the months...as if we really gave a rip...I mean we are here to get away from our own troubles and lives and spent over 130.00 for a suite only to be treated like second rate guests...very rude and we will NEVER NEVER NEVER go back EVER...the innkeeper needs to get a better computer system and realize that guests come to get away from their problems and do not want to listen to someone elses problems!!! :(

I have stayed and Clementines many times and each time a great experience. Close walk to downtown, innkeeper is very knowledgeable as well.
