3 reviews for Heceta Head Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast, Yachats
great experience
By Shirley S, 11/29/08
I love lighthouses. Staying at the bed and breakfast was just wonderful. And as they recommend you have to visit the lighthouse at night! The view in early morning is something you won't forget. The breakfast is the best. I will visit there again. Lighthouses are to serve and should all be preserved.

Once in a LifeTime
By kim, 06/11/08
We recently took a trip up the Cali and Oregon Coast with My husbands parents and his grandma. Grandma LOVES lighthouses, so as a special treat, we Surprized her with a stay in the Heceta Head Lighthouse B&B. A quaint house, once belonging to the Lighthouse Keeper was transformed into a B&B. We had 3 rooms all with a different view and different antique furniture. My husband and I stayed in a room with an ocean view. It was nice to fall asleep listening to the waves on the rocks. WE stayed up late into the night and played cards by the fire. We even took a hike up to the lighthouse in the middle of the night to see Heceta Head in all it's Glory, standing guard over the Pacific. The next morning we were awaken to a 7 course Oregon Feast Breakfast, each course had fresh Oregon favorites made by a local chef. We highly recomend staying at Heceta Head, and though the cost is a bit high, it's worth it for a ONCE IN A LIFETIME experience. I would recomend that you make reservations early and if you have any dietary needs, let them know ahead of time.

This place is said to be "Haunted"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/05
I have never got the pleasure of being able to stay here, although I have visited the light house several times over my years. You can tour the light house, and the bed and breakfast has over a years wait to stay the night. This Inn has been on unsolved mysteries, claiming it was haunted. I do have a friend that did get the chance to stay there, She said that the food was to die for...and they did have a couple leave during their stay because of a "haunting" although my friend and her husband didn't experince anything themselves first hand.....
