Flyfisher's Paradise

The Mckenzie River Inn is an oasis. It sits right along the Mckenzie River, one of Oregon's Premier trout and steelhead rivers, in fact, some of the best fishing on the river is right in front of the hotel. Once you're done fishing you can come in and have a cup of tea with Bert and Hupertina, the Dutch/American owners (and co-head chefs). These are quite simply some of the kindest and most welcoming people you're likely to meet.
If the fish are biting, you might find Bert out on the river giving you a lesson on how to catch them. The main house is rustic and woodsy, the newer cabins are cozy and charming. The owners are sensitive to people with dietary restrictions too. And you might get a traditional Dutch breakfast if you're lucky.
