Hotel Description

All of the nine guest rooms of Hisega Lodge include private baths and direct access to either the wrap-around porch or the creek. A two-room, one-bath unit is also available. A hearty breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m.

A Gem in the Black Hills

Wonderfully located for visiting Rapid City, Deadwood, Mount Rushmore and the other Black Hills attractions, this cozy inn was one of the highlights of our two-week road trip. The rooms are small but comfortably furnished and the shared space in the lodge is warm and comfortable with a roaring fire on cool mornings. Carol serves absolutely delicious breakfasts with creative and different dishes every day. She is a lovely hostess and goes out of her way to ensure her guests enjoy their stay. I would definitely return. The inn is just 10 - 15 minutes outside of Rapid City itself, yet this 100-year-old inn is snuggled in a valley next to a stream and you feel that you are totally away from civilization.

Our experience was 5 star from the very moment we first arrived. The area is beautiful beyond words. Hisega Lodge has a rich history and reminds one of a time gone by when life was simple & serene & elegant in its own way. The service & cleanliness was excellent also. The host-Carol, is wonderful & caring down to the smallest detail of your stay. The meals are delicious and served with elegance. We will return!!
