Couldn't have been better

It's really off the beaten path, in a tiny town, not particularly close to anything. If that's what you like, this is PERFECT. The scenery is great, the nearby park trails are well maintained. This is the kind of place that walkers and birders and get-away-from-it-all people like me hunt for!
The house is a couple of hundred years old, with totally comfortable, unpretentious restoration, nice old furnishings, and a farm-family feeling. My bed was comfortable! Lavish and beautifully prepared breakfasts, and they're willing to be flexible. Everything was very clean even by my very nitpicking standards.
You have to be willing to drive in the dark on narrow country roads in the fall/winter, coming back from any of several good restaurants within 10 miles.
But the price makes it worthwhile. Of course, the cute sheep and goats and barn and stuff all help, too. And apparently they accommodate kids, even little ones. I really lucked out on this place, tried it without finding any reviews.
