Vagabond Inn, Naples

It's in a beautiful location, the views are amazing. Pattie was friendly and we had fun talking about her pets. Our room was a little small but we felt welcome to use the common areas. Breakfast was great, second helping were available.

Be really aware that the web page is VERY DECEIVING!! Our room was in the basement and smelled like chlorine and must. When we told Patty she said we were not getting our money back and I was grumpy and would ruin the time for the other guests! She said she would turn on a fan. We could not believe that she started our special weekend with name calling! The hot tub was an outdoor tub which was placed indoors, with a cover to keep in the chemicals! When we went to use the tub our eyes stung so badly we had to get out immediately! The room also advertised a chiminea. We went to use it and there wasn't any wood. I asked Patty and she went to check. When she returned she said the wood outside was wet and they were out of wood in the barn! I said that the room was advertised with an outdoor fireplace and there wasn't any wood? Patty's comment was, "Oh boy, you will try anything to get out of paying for the room, most people bring their own wood." I couldn't believe that we were being treated like this after paying $240.00 a night! We decided to stay Friday night because we drove 5 hours to get there. The next day breakfast was being server between 8:30-9:30. At 8:35 they were just starting to make the biscuits from scratch! We decided to save our 1st year anniversary celebration we needed to leave and forfeit the $806.00 that we saved for this special occasion. We felt like Patty had robbed us of our money! She made NO attempt to make our stay welcomed! We hated IT!!!!!!!!!

The room we originally booked was tiny and not as pictured. All rooms do not have fireplaces. We actually stayed in a different room than I booked the first night. Towel bar came off wall, hot tub didn't work, fan was loud and so many small things wrong that after a while, we were wondering what was next. People were allowed to smoke right outside our window, so don't think about getting fresh air. I was very disappointed to spend all that money. When you pay that much, you expect everything to be perfect. We will never go back, and I do not recommend it.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. When we arrived we were greeted by staff that were friendly and eager to help. This was peaceful romatic place. Breakfast was wonderful. Would recommend to a friend.
