Great place for exploring Boston
By Christen, 08/20/09
We stayed at this B&B on a trip to Boston. It was a great location-- only one block from a stop on the Green line. It was so easy to just hop on the T and explore Boston. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. The staff at the Inn was very helpful and always available. Our room was relatively small, and we did have some minor problems with the shower. Our DVD player also didn't work. However, breakfast was very good, and the experience overall was very pleasant. We would definitely go back. It is a great value for the money!

Great place to stay

The staff was very helpful and always available. Breakfast was great, many different things to choose from including healthy foods such as granola, yogurt, and fruit. Room was very clean and comfortable. Also, the St Paul stop on the Green line is only a block away so it is very easy to get into the city. I would definitely go back.

VERY comfortable place for a great place. The staff is GREAT. The breakfast is great. The rooms are very cozy. Its a home away from home. The location is great because you can walk anywhere you need to go. 10 times better then a holiday inn

Lovely B&B, Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/08
I can find nothing wrong with this beautiful bed and breakfast....except, well, why don't they just let you park for free? But, if they did, they'd just raise their rates to offset that. Consider it a bonus if you haven't brought a car and don't have to pay an extra $15 to park. Hey, what am I complaining about...this is Boston! The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I got the last room they had because I'd made a last minute decision to come to Boston. So I was on the third floor which I'll never do again if I can avoid it. Still, it was a great room and I felt pampered. This is a lovely, historic home. The Bertram Inn is a pet friendly B&B and there is no extra charge for traveling with your best friend. Upon arrival, you receive a very cute welcome package, compliments of a local shop. It includes doggie biscuits, a brochure on Brookline's pet policies and some very handy plastic gloves for poop scooping. Very nice. What a great location! Walking distance to Trader Joe's, Starbuck's, restaurants and the subway. The staff were very accommodating. In the morning I asked for the address to Faneuil Hall so I could plug it into my GPS...she went back to her office where she printed out a map for me that included the address. I have already recommended this to some clients of mine who periodically go to Red Sox games and I will definitely come back here when I plan a trip back to Boston.
