Charming
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/08
This place is unique. Totally unlike the bland accommodations provided by the large chains. Decor is antique, room was comfortable, I shared a bathroom which was no problem, breakfast more than adequate, staff were great, location is superb. Good value. I am hard pressed to find any negatives. There was a very limited selection of channels on the TV, if that is important to you. I will definately be staying at The Margarita again. good European style hotel
By htlcrtk, 07/12/05
Entering the hotel feels like you've left the US and are in a old charming European hotel. There is an old elevator with the cage style opening and a large parlor where one can listen to music from 1905-1945 as well as just be. It was large enough that during breakfast about six groups were seated around it, and one didn't really notice. Up another half-flight of stairs is a nice paneled library with several chairs for sitting. The library was rather small and intimate. The room itself was OK and the issue with the AC which the other reviewer specified is indeed an issue if one worries about that kind of thing. The main public areas had free wi-fi access as did our room, however, they did say that not all rooms can access wi-fi. There are several cafes nearby (including one 2 doors down) also with wi-fi access. Breakfast was included and was pretty decent, though my wife pointed out that cereal would have been a good addition. On the garden level of the hotel is a rest

poor room and staff
By Rob, 06/13/05
The room had a portable air conditioning unit that could not keep up with the heat (It was cooler outside than in the room, the temperature was hovering around 90). The day desk staff was rude when informed of this. Instead of taking care of the issue they advised of similiar complaints were from other rooms that had had problems draining the air conditioner. The inn had a sense of charm but the room condition and lack of service outweighed the positives
