Experience of a Lifetime!
This is a 1st for us, spending a night in a Bed & Breakfast and I must say that upon arrival at the Dewey Lake Manor I absolutely fell in love with the 140 year old farmhouse & its surrounding settings, especially being off the Lake.
The old architecture of the farmhouse reminded me of the old Civil war era housing, sculptured peaks, & the interior was absolutely beyond words. Real working kerosene lamps from the ceiling were Beautiful and the home was so Cozy, I felt like I was right at home there. The Home was clean, the grounds were well maintained and the flowers surrounding the home were still filling the air with their fragrance that smelled so good.
Our room, the Servant’s Quarters, overlooked the 400 foot frontage of Dewey Lake and was complete with fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub, an old fashioned Brass style bed, old fashioned wood furniture and a Personal touch, a Pink Rose with a Happy Sweetest Day message & homemade cookies from the owners, Joe & Barb Phillips who were also so knowledgeable of the History at Dewey Lake Manor & of the surrounding area and where to go and what to do as well while visiting. I might also add that Breakfast was Delicious, fruits, an Egg Fluff baked to perfection, meats, coffee cake, juice, coffee and even some good old fashioned donuts!
I could go on & on about Dewey Lake Manor and the warm & friendly hospitable Hosts & Owners, Joe & Barb Phillips. I Hope that YOU will take a weekend and Book your stay and Experience the Peaceful, Old fashioned setting of an era gone by, yet not forgotten at the Dewey Lake Manor. To set out by the Bonfire at night, look up & behold a million stars looking down upon you, watch the Dew / Mist / Fog floating across the Lake and listening to the Peacefulness & Serenity with all its Warmth & Charm of Dewey Lake Manor. This is definitely worth taking a weekend to enjoy this Beautiful facility and experience all its Charm.
Thank you again Joe & Barb Phillips as we will be returning again one day to enjoy all of your hospitality and the peacefulness of the Dewey Lake Manor.
Sincerely,
