Racebrook Lodge, Sheffield

Racebrook’s motto is chintz free forever, and that you can bet is what you will get. The pictures look nicer than the property actually is. We found unlike most B&B or lodges that we have been to that the staff was quite unfriendly, not really helpful, or just downright rude they also keep pushing you to eat at the Stagecoach Tavern, which is OK but overpriced for what you get. The room was bare bones, no phones or TV as advertised. There are many beautiful places to stay in the Berkshires so we would not stay at Racebrook again. The only major plus is they do allow dogs, (but they don’t seem happy if they are there) and they do charge for them.
