Mda City Apartments, Chicago

The location is nice; W/D in unit is a great deal. I would like to give good ratings to a place that I lived for a long time. Unfortunately, spending a majority of my life in condominiums, I was highly disappointed with the management. I just moved out. Throughout my occupancy, I was left with no hot water, no A/C during the hottest day of summer, no electricity when I needed to take care of business, and no heating when needed. I have never seen a management that is so careless about their mistakes. And the higher authority would not answer the phones anymore because of, from what I heard, immense amount of complains. I did not spend much time in the building, so I did not get to know any neighbors, but I can say I heard someone complaining about something everyday, by concierge. You might want to consider using that place as a hotel, but not a residency

Excellent service, VERY helpful front desk staff. Some of our friends live here - we checked in as guests. Great location, good price and nice new rooms. We plan on going back every couple of months now. This beats a chain hotel for sure!

I planned to stay here at the beginning of October. The building managment company billed my credit card 10 days before I arrived (although my contract clearly states I will not be billed if I cancel 48 hours before arriving!). We were sent to another building (further away) and despite being told we would receive one night free, the full amount was already billed to my card and they refused to refund anything! When I called to discuss this issue, the management was evasive and unhelpful. Get a room somewhere else -- at least you will be staying where you planned to!
