Mary Stuart Bed & Breakfast, Goshen

Mary is a wonderful hostess, very warm & welcoming. Never had any problems getting in touch with her prior to visit. It was just like visiting the home of a very special relative. Breakfast was fantastic every morning. The B & B was very clean and the beds were comfortable. If in that area again, that is the place I would definitely stay and without hesitation. I felt like it was staying with a friend or relative. I travel to Ireland frequently and stay with my wife's relatives. They always made me fell warm and welcome. This place was the same. the rooms were clean. the food was good. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. I am sorry to hear about the reviewer before me having trouble with cats. I have stayed in many B&B's and frequently a cat or two is around. My son is allergic to cats but he was not with us this time. I would have called ahead to make sure there were no cats or would have been prepared just in case. It is in the country. The owner was as friendly as can be. We were treated like family as soon as we got there. We arrived late (11:00pm)so the owner stayed up to wait for us. instead of pushing us to our rooms she offered coffee and tea in a very inviting kitchen. She asked if were hungary or needed anything. She then showed us to the rooms and gave us a pitcher of water to take with us (nice touch). The house is old, built 1798 and it shows it age. The rooms are small but very comfortable. They are tastefully decorated. You feel like you are sleeping in some ones private bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. There are two huge and inviting living rooms. One has a huge fireplace that always seem to have a fire going (real fire as oppossed to gas). There is a cat that stays to itself unless drawn attention to. We offered a full choice of breakfast items. The eggs were out of this world. Lots of coffee and juice. Fresh baked bread and muffins were also served. I would recommend this to any one for a comfortable and enjoyable stay at a great value.
