Shamrock Farm Inn Bed and Breakfast, Portsmouth

William & the Shamrock farm Inn are the closest thing to Ireland. You get the feeling you are in Ireland with the the decor, music, hospitality & Williams life like stories. The hospitality is only matched by Williams 5* cooking. The rooms each have a story & taste of Ireland. The grounds are breathtaking & peaceful. If you can't afford to go to Ireland, go here. It is a slice of Ireland in the U.S. William teaches you the local way of life & guides you to all the most beautiful places on the island. If you play your cards right, you can make it to his porch. a true honor. We can't say enough nice things about this heartwarming place & man. Every B& B should be modeled after this one. Truly,"Irish Heaven on earth!"

There was nothing I disliked. The breakfast was great. Each morning was a different menu. Eggs, potatoes, french toast, fresh fruit along with homemade grilled muffins. William made us feel as though Shamrock Farm was home during our visit. The rooms were beautiful. Everything was very clean. We had two televisions in our room. One of them was in the sitting room. Air conditioning was good to have. Thank you again William for a great weekend!

This was my first experience at a bed and breakfast and at the Shamrock Farm. Everything is true!!! The place is a hidden gem. From the lovely grounds to the jacuzzi bathtub, William has given this place his all. Be sure to let him fix you a delicious breakfast or at least a Cranberry muffin or he might tell you "You are a bad quest for not letting me cook for you!" Don't forget to check out the Koi pond before you finish your stay.

This lovely B & B was everything we were looking for when visiting Newport. William and Jeannie are the perfect hosts. Portsmouth is a10 minute drive to Newport, but the route William suggests you take is just beautiful! We cannot wait to come back to this Inn and will recommend it to all our friends/family

If you want atmosphere, comfort and great service than this is the place to go. My wife and I were looking for a get away. Choosing these type of places can make you uneasy because you do not know what to expect. Are the pictures at just the right angles to appear nicer? and Are the reviews really true? Here at Shamrock Farms everything was impressive and NOTHING was a disappointment. All of my worries were put to rest by William and Kirby with their exceptional hospitality. All the reviews are true. The room was beautiful and spacious. The grounds were nice and the food was tremendous. The building is an old barn that is renovated in a 1940's type of motif. We were able to relax and visit the sights in and around Newport very easily. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed and we will go back. Thanks for the experience Shamrock Farms.

The Inn and it's grounds are beautiful, the innkeeper is amazing and his daughter is delightful. I will tell everyone how wonderful it is and I will be back. It is the perfect getaway!! The breakfast was over the top. Thanks Bill and Kirby!!!
