Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn, Ledyard

I was really suprised at how expensive the room was for what you actually received. We had stayed in there "Cabin" which was quiet , and pieceful, the room was dark, and in a coutry setting. When we 1st had gotten there, we had a terrible time parking, not enough adequate parking for there guests. also our room " i couldn't believe it when i saw this" but the mini fridge was ontop of a coffie table and on top of the fridge was a 19 inch tv, i sure didn't expect that, for $180 for the night i guess i expected more, the feeling i got was like being in an old run down motel. so if this is your last resort, Stay here, other wise stay at a motel, it's cheeper and they probale have tv's on the wall , not on a fridge. kinda dissapointed!!!

Thank you all for the great reviews on various websites about Abbeys! Spent our 20 yr wedding anniversary there and it was wonderful! If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, pet-friendly, scenic place to stay - This is the place! The rates are low compared to the other hotels in the area (believe me, I checked) and this Inn is just 'minutes' from Foxwoods. Just ask for Tom the owner, a real nice guy who can tell you how to get anywhere. We're going to tell ALL of our family and friends about this one! Just make sure you make it there before nightfall......it's dark out there on those mountain roads. A+++++++++++++++++++
