Wouldn't Hesitate To Stay Again
We just returned from a 2 night stay at The Farm House B & B. Though not luxurious it's impeccably clean & comfortable and the owners are delightful people. If you must have a tv and an air conditioner in your room this place is not for you. If you simply want cleanliness, a comfortable bed, a private bathroom attached to your room and a good breakfast and caring hosts you'll be happy here. There are 3 bedrooms w/queen beds and private attached bathrooms upstairs and one bedroom w/twin beds and attached bathroom on the ground level. There is one more small bedroom ground level without a bathroom. There's also a refrigerator available for use. Guests also have use of a living room and outdoor patio plus front porch. The only time I probably wouldn't stay there are the months of July & August when I'd guess the nights could become stuffy without the air conditioning (though the owner said even in summer nights cool down, but I wouldn't chance it just because I love sleeping in a cool room) but spring & fall no hesitation. Having a rental car is definitely a must IMO for driving into Oak Bluffs and to Edgartown and anywhere else you want to go unless you use taxi cabs. Considering the prices all over the island we thought it was very reasonable at $150 plus tax per night. Whether or not the price goes up during the busier months of July & August I don't know.
